About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Consultant – Cyber Security & Data Privacy to join our security and IT team. In this role, you will lead critical cybersecurity and data privacy initiatives, advise on risk mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with industry regulations. You will work on complex projects, implement modern security practices, and play a key role in safeguarding our digital infrastructure and sensitive information.
Responsibilities
- Lead the assessment and mitigation of security threats, risks, and vulnerabilities across systems and applications.
- Design, implement, and enforce robust security measures and data privacy protocols.
- Conduct advanced security testing, audits, and vulnerability assessments to ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with IT, development, and business teams to embed security and privacy best practices.
- Provide expert guidance on cybersecurity policies, regulations, and industry standards.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging security threats, tools, and technologies to enhance organizational resilience.
Required Skills
- In-depth understanding of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and best practices.
- Expertise in network security, operating systems, protocols, and cloud environments.
- Proficiency with security tools, vulnerability management, threat detection, and incident response.
- Strong knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) and compliance requirements.
- Experience with scripting or programming (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation and security tasks.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a proactive approach.
- Ability to lead security initiatives, mentor junior staff, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
